The John Hughes Soundtrack
I've been thinking about classic songs from John Hughes movies. I think I have collected a nice assortment but was wanting to see if anyone else had any suggestions. I plan on NOT dowloading these illegally and NOT creating a CD that I will reproduce for friends and others I know. I may also NOT create a picture of several film scenes combined into one and NOT use it for the cover.
The John Hughes Soundtrack:
1. Holiday Road - Lindsay Buckingham - Vacation
2. Turning Japanese - The Vapors - Sixteen Candles (not a great soundtrack)
3. Weird Science - Oingo Boingo - Weird Science
4. Some Like It Hot - Power Station - European Vacation
5. Don't You (Forget About Me) - Simple Minds - The Breakfast Club
6. If You Leave - OMD - Pretty in Pink
7. Oh Yeah - Yello - Ferris Bueller's Day Off
8. March of the Swivelheads - English Beat - Ferris Bueller's Day Off
9. Shyest Time - The Apartments - Some Kind of Wonderful
10. Every Time You Go Away - Paul Young - Planes, Trains and Automobiles
11. Mess Around - Ray Charles - Planes, Trains and Automobiles
12. Yakety Yak - The Coasters - The Great Outdoors
13. Wild Thing - Tone Loc - Uncle Buck
14. Tweedlee Dee - LaVern Baker - Uncle Buck
15. Mele Kalikimaka - Bing Crosby - Christmas Vacation

I would also include:
"Blitzkrieg Bop" by The Ramones (Vacation)
"Little Boy Sweet" by June Pointed (also Vacation)
The theme song from I Dream of Jeannie from Ferris Bueller
and maybe another Christmas song, if there's one that Christmas Vacation and Home Alone have in common.
I'm glad to hear that you won't be making any illegal copies of these songs to make an illegal compilation CD. I would definitely NOT want a copy of that, and I would definitely NOT provide you with a blank CD to facilitate such copying (and thereby making me an enabler).
Okay, I think I could swing The Ramones and dump the Some Kind of Wonderful song that nobody knows anyway. Good call on that. I will definitely NOT let you know when it is made and will NOT allow you to enable me.
Hammerjammer... I'd certainly NOT want a copy of that CD. Effing outstaning call on Oingo Boingo. I mean is there EVER enough OB in the world? I gotta tell you, that is still to this day my favorite Downey Jr. roll. Good to see you buddy! - http://406northlane.com/
You will both NOT be receiving a copy of this. Chewie, I'll need an address from you. Email me one. I should NOT have them made and ready to NOT send in the relatively near future.
Is that Greg Bellan (sp?) from the Teter Thompson days?
The one and only Chewie Bellan
